My name is Jessica. I am an artist, graphic designer, and photographer from central New Jersey. I studied both Visual Arts (with a Graphic Design concentration) and Art History at Rutgers University. Art has always been one of my greatest passions and I love being able to mold my lifelong hobby into my career.

When creating my design work, I use Adobe DreamWeaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. When creating code for websites, I work with raw HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

In the past few years, I've added photography to my repetoire. I shoot with a Nikon D90 and a varierty of lenses. Though currently just a hobby, I hope to dive into the world of event photography soon.

I use my talents to pay the bills, but I also devote my skills to volunteer work. I do web design and photography for Howling Woods Farm, a wolf and wolf dog rescue, as well as Tails of the Tundra, a Siberian Husky rescue.

When I'm not working or volunteering, I spend the remainder of my time writing, cooking, crafting, and taking care of my crazy pack of pets. People have always joked that I own a small zoo. They are a little bit off -- I actually hope to have a small farm!

My dream is to maintain a humble, yet productive, homestead. I plan to keep chickens, bees, and a decent-sized vegetable garden. I want to increase my thriftiness and craftiness to achieve utmost sustainability with minimal environmental impact. I want to celebrate locally grown and raised food -- whether it be in my own backyard or down the road.

Most of all, I want to create and share. That's where this website comes in. My successes and my failures will be catalogued here, in my blog. The artwork I paint, the jewelry I string, the honey I harvest, the candles I mold -- these will all be available to buy from my shop. Not so much for profit, but to give others a peak into hand-crafted, home-made goodness.

My goal comes with a secondary dream, a sub-goal, if you will. As I mentioned before, I have lots of pets. Two of them are rescued Siberian Husky mixes and the third is a purebred Siberian Husky. They are the foundation of my sled team. I may add more dogs in the future, but for now, they're all the team I need. So, every dollar spent on my crafts will be supporting my sub-goal: maintaining a functioning sled team. To learn more about my team, visit my mushing site:
